What we are doing

We are upgrading the public wastewater network servicing Stebbings Road, Churton Park. The involves replacing the wastewater main from the intersection of Middleton Road and Glenside Road, along Glenside Road up towards Stebbings Road.

Why are we doing this?

The existing gravity sewer network which services the Lower and Upper Stebbings development areas is already constrained. There is no spare capacity available and without this upgrade there is a risk of increased frequency of wastewater overflows occurring during rainfall events with increased public health risk and customer impact from uncontrolled sewage surcharges onto private property. This work will improve network performance, reduce outages, and reduce overflows to the environment.
