Since Tiaki Wai began issuing water services bills, property owners have received separate invoices for water services and remain responsible for paying those charges.
This does not change existing arrangements for tenants. Tiaki Wai invoices are issued to the property owner, not the tenant, and the property owner remains responsible for payment.
Tenants who want to understand how water service costs are reflected in their rent should discuss this with their landlord.
