Gracefield Catchment Wastewater Renewals
On behalf of Hutt City Council we are renewing the wastewater network in Gracefield to reduce leaks and overflows and improve the health of our waterways.

Construction commences October 2023 and is expected to take around 10-12 months to complete.
- Standard hours of work are from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
- While our crews are working in the road corridor, there will be some disruption to traffic.
- Traffic management will be set up while this work is being completed, with detours in place.
This project is going to improve the network in your community and protect the health of the environment and the public, so we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
This project will renew and upgrade sections of pipe in the Gracefield catchment wastewater network that have been identified as being in poor condition.
The works will be completed using a combination of trenchless structural lining and patch repairs. Open cut repair will be used where structural lining is not possible.
Approximately 3500 metres of wastewater pipes are being renewed and upgraded.
